Cross-compiler toolchains

This page lists the RTL8181-compatible cross-compilers that we know of. RTL8181 compatibility is generally defined by several key requirements:

the compiler generates 32-bit MIPS big endian code
the compiler does not emit instructions covered by U.S. Patent No. 4,814,976
the linker and binutils support the Linux ELF format
